About Us

Empowering Autistic People

The Story of Luie

Luie is the voice-activated app I created to support autistic people like my son. Witnessing the challenges he faced as he transitioned into adulthood, such as navigating overwhelming situations both on and off the road, I was determined to make a difference. Luie serves as a compassionate co-pilot, offering real-time, user-controlled support without causing distractions. By empowering users to decide when and how they want assistance, Luie enhances confidence, reduces stress, and respects individual autonomy. The story of Luie is about transforming personal challenges into innovative solutions that help others feel less alone and more empowered in their daily lives.

Empowering Autistic People

Approximately 120,000 autistic youth transition into adulthood each year in the United States, yet many face significant challenges in accessing the support they need.

Close to 2% of U.S. adults are on the autism spectrum, representing a substantial and growing community.

Unemployment and underemployment rates among autistic adults are significantly higher than the national average, despite many having the desire and ability to work.

Up to 70% of autistic adults experience at least one co-occurring mental health condition, such as anxiety or depression.

Autistic individuals have an average life expectancy of 54 years, compared to 70 years for non-autistic individuals.

    Hello!

My youngest son, who is one of three incredible sons, was diagnosed with autism at age nine. He has always been my greatest inspiration. As his biggest supporter and advocate, he taught me to view the world from a new perspective. However, as he transitioned into adulthood, the challenges he encountered began to profoundly impact his daily life and well-being. Witnessing his compounded stress—whether learning to drive, seeking employment, or managing social interactions—made me realize the significant gaps in support for autistic people that needed to be addressed
